I can not fully express my gratitude to the voters of our district for the opportunity to represent our perspectives and interests in the Minnesota Legislature. So many of us in the district worked hard this election cycle and all of that work has delivered a legislative body that is committed to a brighter future for Minnesota.

As you would anticipate, the weeks since the election have been busy. I have participated in orientation, caucuses, conferences and retreats.  I have met all of the freshman, from both parties and both the House and Senate. I am reconnecting with returning members and building relationships. I know where I sit in the House Chamber. I have an email account, a phone and an office -- the tools needed to work! 

Committees are beginning to meet and with that, citizens, advocates and lobbyists are filling the halls.  I am meeting, learning and understand anew the importance of questioning and thinking.  I serve on Early Childhood Learning Finance, Health and Human Service,  Health and Human Service Finance, Rules and Ways and Means. I am working on the issues in the committees and in the House as a whole. I am positioned to work on early education, environmental health and health care -- issues we discussed all summer and fall.
